Gaze

On a déjà vu des bandido, des abrivado et du toro piscine. Ce qui nous manquait c'était de voir une gaze - quand les chevaliers ramènent des chevaux ou des vaches par la rivière. Ici c'était à Sommières.

We'd already seen a 'bandido', and 'abrivado' and a 'toro piscine' last year, but what we were missing was a 'gaze' - which is when the horse riders transfer horses or cows via the river. Here it was at Sommières.

Un autre jour on a été témoin d'un abrivado qui s'est mal tourné, avec les toros qui sont partis dans le mauvais sens, et les cavaliers qui avaient bien du mal à les maîtriser. Un des toros s'est subitement retourné sur le cheval, qui a trébuché et cheval et chevalier sont tombés sur la route.

Another day we had the 'privelege' of witnessing an abrivado go pear-shaped, with the cows escaping and the 'cowboys' having difficulty rounding them up again. One of the cows being dragged by a horse and rider suddenly changed tactic and charged, the horse panicked and tripped and fell over on the rider on the road. Health and Safety would have had a stroke!
