Still painting ... On peint encore

VOILA l'avantage de l'école à la maison. Kalia est vraiment à fond dans sa peinture ces jours-ci (vous l'avez peut-être remarqué). Voilà deux de ses dernières créations - 100% conçues et motivées par elle toute seule. J'ai réussi à convaincre 'la prof' qu'il fallait la laisser faire et ne pas l'embêter avec les 'études', et ben ... chapeau.

Dessus: PAS une peinture par chiffres. Je dois avoué que j'ai sérieusement douté que c'était elle toute seule qui avait fait l'esquisse crayon, sur la base des petits autocollants à côté.

Dessous: à l'église ils ont un program "co-héritiers" pour 'jumeler' un adulte avec chaque enfant - dans le but de promouvoir les relations et prières intergénérationelles. Kalia s'est porté volontaire pour faire une affiche. Au vu du nombre d'heures et de l'effort qu'elle a donné, j'étais un peu dégoûté que son oeuvre n'a été exposé qu'une demi-heure, un dimanche matin. M'enfin, elle n'a pas tellement remarqué, et c'est tant mieux.

THIS is the advantage of home schooling. Kalia is on a roll with her painting. Here are two more totally self-motivated and self-directed creations from the past weeks. I managed to convince 'the teacher' that she should be left to her own devices, and well... the girl done good.

Top: NOT painting by numbers. I confess (again) to having been totally incredulous that she'd pencilled the outline on her own - copying from the tiny stickers you can see.

Bottom: at church they're doing a scheme where they pair up an adult with a child to encourage intergenerational relationships (and prayer). Kalia volunteered to 'do' the poster. Given the amount of effort and attention she put into it, I thought it was a bit unfair that it only got about half an hour of exposure on one Sunday morning, but she doesn't seem to have noticed, so all's well.
