Summer is a cummin' back ... le retour du chaud

Après un mois d'août pas trop merveilleux ('suis content d'être parti en vacances au mois de juillet) cette semaine un petit retour de beau temps. Aujourd'hui il a même fait chaud - bien qu'avec le bureau climatisé je n'ai pas vraiment vu la différence.

Une petite mention pour mon collègue (et chauffeur), qui part en lune de miel demain, pour 3 semaines de l'autre côté du monde - Polynésie Française. C'est vraiment très très très loin - on a regardé sur Google Earth aujourd'hui - en tout cas c'est à 16 mille kilomètres d'ici ! Je crois que ça doit être suffisamment loin pour ne pas être embêté avec des appels du boulot (surtout si on laisse son natel à la maison).

After a couple of weeks of fairly rotten weather (didn't bother me to much, just glad I took my holiday in July) this week there's been a bit of summer again. It was even hot today, not that I really noticed the difference in our air-conditioned office.

A little dig for my colleauge who is off on the honeymoon of a lifetime tomorrow - to Tahiti. It is really a very very long way away, we looked it up on Google Earth today - it's just a long way from everywhere, surrounded by lots of sea. You wonder how anyone ever discovered it! At least it should be far enough away to not get any calls from work (leaving his mobile at home will help too!).
