Nous revoilà. Nous sommes allés passer un petit week-end en Alsace, pour dire aurevoir à une copine qui partira bientôt au Tchad pendant deux ans pour s'occuper de petits prématurés là-bas. C'était l'occasion de rencontrer ses parents, chez qui nous avons logé, et certains de ses amis.Il faisait froid, dites-donc - cette photo a été prise au moment qu'il faisait le plus beau ! Mais l'accueil était chaleureux, et nous avons eu du plaisir à revoir certaines têtes connues. (Y compris des amis d'ici)
Kalia a été très brave, comme toujours, même si elle a dû supporter 6h de route (en tout), et le fait d'être trembalée à droite et à gauche, et de ne pas avoir pu dormir aux heures habituelles. Elle a quand même pu prendre du temps pour s'exercer à la marche - sauf que marcher passe au second plan quand il y a des escaliers à monter !
Here we are, back from a very short weekend in Alsace. We went to say goodbye to a friend who is off to Chad soon, to spend 2 years there looking after premature babies. We also got to meet her parents, who kindly put us up, and some of her friends.It sure was cold though - colder than here. The photo was taken this morning when the weather was at its best! But we received a warm welcome, and even got to meet some familiar faces (including friends from here).
Kalia was very good, as ever, despite having to put up with 3 hours drive each way, being dragged around from one house to another, and not being able to go to sleep at the normal time. She even found the energy to practice walking a bit - except that walking is less interesting when there are stairs to climb!
