Car hate ... Haine d'auto

Hier matin, j'avais une belle voiture qui valait environ 5 mille balles.
Hier soir, la même voiture - dans le même état - ne valait plus que 500 balles.

Accident ?

Non, expertise !

Voilà le scénario:

Lundi : mon garagiste prépare la voiture pour l'expertise - 540F de frais pour souder l'échappement, et corriger le freinage.

Mardi : Expertise, raté&nbps;: l'embrayage 'patine'.

Devis pour l'embrayage : 900F.

Frais pour le grand service il y a un mois : 560F.

Coût projeté pour prochain achat pneus d'hiver : 500F.

Montant reçu des assurances pour dommage grêle : 2020F.

Valeur de la voiture à l'achat (il y a 2.5 ans) : 7400F*.

Valeur de la voiture en l'état : le garagiste est d'accord de la reprendre contre les 540F de frais de lundi.

Kilomètres au compteur : 139,000.

Kilomètres parcourus depuis l'achat : 70,000.

Citroën Xsara 1.4I limousine rouge.

J'ai parfois l'impression que j'ai la poisse quand il s'agit de voitures - comment se fait-il que d'autres arrivent à tirer leur poubelles pendant des années, et que chez moi il faut recommencer tous les 2-3 ans ?

Alors dites-moi, faut-il faire réparer, ou débourser 10,000 pour une nouvelle (ancienne) caisse ?

Ou alors vivre sans !?

Yesterday morning, all my troubles seemed so far away, I had a nice car worth 5000 CHF.
Yesterday evening, the same car (in the same state), was worth 500 CHF.

No, MOT!

Here's how it happened:

Monday: garage gets car ready for MOT* - 540CHF to weld a holey exhaust and get the brakeing balanced.

Tuesday: fails MOT on splippy clutch.

Quote for replacing clutch: 900 CHF

Cost of service and timing belt last month: 560 CHF

Projected cost of new winter tyres: 500 CHF

Sum received from insurance for hail damage: 2020 CHF

Price of car when bought (2.5 years ago): 7400 CHF**

Value of car in its current state: the best the garage can offer is to take the car in exchange for the Monday's 540 bill.

Kilometres on the clock: 139 000

Kilemetres driven since bought: 70 000.

Citroën Xsara 1.4I hatchback, red.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm not 'jinxed' when it comes to cars - how come everyone else seems to be able to keep their bangers going for years, and I have to start over every 2-3 years?

So, tell me what you think - should I fix this car, and hope, or stump up 10 000 CHF for another car (and hope)?

Or do without altogether?
