Barely back from the wedding (well, ok, 9 days after), I was back shuffling between the security barriers at
GVA, off for two days in Blighty for a software update & test on one of 'our' machines (above). For some reason, they got us tickets via
AMS - so a trip which could have taken 6 hours ended up taking 8 or more. I left work at 16h30, and we landed at
BHX around 10pm (UK time), and then had to get the hire car (always a challenge - have you
ever got what you actually reserved at Europcar?), then we still had the drive to the
hotel.

Here is the fruit of my labour. Doesn't look much, but it does represent a heck of a lot of man hours!

The operator's cabin looks more like a cockpit.

Double trouble.. These are
B66 UC, in case you wondered. Apologies to people in the vicinity of Widmerpool who I didn't visit. It was a very whistle-stop tour, and I didn't have independent transport. I
did manage to fit in a full English breakfast, a Ploughman's sandwhich,
Fish & Chips, and a BIG apple crumble with custard and ice cream. And brought back a jar of Branston's!
