Gentiément notre expérience avec le sel s'est poursuivi. Au moment donné quand le sel a commencé à se crystalisé contre le plastique, je me suis rendu compte que j'aurais un problème pour l'enlever, du coup j'ai ravisé mes méthodes, en ajoutant un sac en plastique (avantage: plus de chaleur!).
We carried on with our salt making experiment. The first time it started crystallising at the bottom, I realised I was going to have difficulty scraping it off the plastic without bringing the plastic too. So I re-dissolved it and added a plastic bag. The black added to the heat-absorption.
Pendant des jours, il s'est rien passé (on a ajouté progressivement 10L d'eau de mer).
For days of nothing happened (except progressively adding 10L of sea water).
Puis tout d'un coup, en l'espace de quelques heures, des beaux cristaux ont commencé à se former.
Then, over just a few hours, beautiful crystals started forming.
Et j'ai enfin compris (je crois) pourquoi on a appel ça 'fleur' de sel.
In French, they call this 'top layer' of crystallised salt 'fleur de sel', I suspect this is why.
A la fin de la journée, plus que du sel.
At the end of the day, a whole load of beautiful salt.
350g de sel à partir de 10L d'eau de mer. Pas mal (mais une légère odeur de sac en plastique, malheureusement...)
350g for 10L of water. Unfortunately with a slight whiff of bin bag :(
