Addict ...

(First walk outside with the new shoes, Rebecca doesn't want to hold her sister's hand).

A few weeks back, I had to come home early from work because of a raging migraine.

Two hours in bed in the dark got me back into roughly functional shape for the rest of the evening.

It was only a while later that I remembered that I hadn't had time to drink my morning coffee before leaving for work (I only drink one cafeinated coffee a day!)

Everyone tells me that that can't be possible, it's just in my head (booboom). Google seems to think that coffee can calm and provoke migraines for different people.

I guess if I really wanted to get to the bottom of this, I should conduct a few experiments, but I think I'll pass on the knowledge front, for once.

Speak slowly please ...

(Daddy chose the clothes this Sunday).

One of the things that the French mock the Swiss for is that they talk so slowly. I don't know if it's been scientifically proven (as such things seem to have to be), but it definitely matches my experience. After nearly ten years living here, I now need subtitles to be able to understand French films. They speak too fast!

Which leaves me wondering if I also think slower now...

Blast from the past ... Souvenirs, souvenirs

Not far from here is where my life went French.

Walking ... Marcher

Voilà Rebecca qui marche !

Here's Rebecca walking !

Alternativement, si on a la phlegm...

Slightly more security conscious...

Pending ...

I have a post 'in me', related to what I said about the book 'The Shack', and my brother's rejoinder. I just need time to think it through, and then time to put it into words. Probably end up being a long one.

The title will probably be 'Heretic'.

In the meanwhile, here is an interesting blog.

First shoes ... premières chaussures

Here's a photo of Rebecca in her first pair of shoes (the aim of our walk into town). Slightly ironic that we received her new pushchair the day before.

Despite our many years of experience, we forgot the first rule of buying shoes for children:
  1. Don't buy shiny shoes for small children
She fell down and scuffed them within the first few feet :)
